Kundalini Yoga is a spiritual and physical discipline rooted in ancient Indian traditions. It combines postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), chanting (mantra), hand gestures (mudras), and meditation to awaken and harness the body’s Kundalini energy—a dormant spiritual energy believed to reside at the base of the spine. Key Elements of Kundalini Yoga: 1. Kriyas – Specific sequences of movements, breath, and sounds designed to achieve a particular outcome. 2. Pranayama – Breathing techniques to control and channel energy. 3. Mantra – Repetition of sacred sounds like Sat Nam (meaning “Truth is my identity”). 4. Mudras – Hand positions that direct energy flow. 5. Meditation – Practices to deepen awareness and connect with higher consciousness. Purpose: The aim of Kundalini Yoga is to awaken the Kundalini energy and move it up through the seven chakras, resulting in greater awareness, spiritual growth, and personal transformation.
