Yoga Nidra, also known as "yogic sleep," is a deep relaxation technique that induces a state of conscious relaxation. It’s a meditation practice where you remain in a state between wakefulness and sleep, allowing the body and mind to deeply relax while staying aware. The practice typically involves lying down in a comfortable position (often in Savasana), guided by an instructor through a body scan, breath awareness, visualizations, and affirmations. The goal of Yoga Nidra is to relax the body, calm the mind, and access a deep state of inner peace, which can have therapeutic benefits, including reducing stress, improving sleep, and promoting mental clarity and emotional balance. It is often used as a tool for relaxation, personal growth, and healing.
